NAYUTA SHINOHARA

Nayuta Shinohara

Born in Tokyo in 1994. After graduating from the Architecture and Design Department of Tokyo Zokei University in 2017, Nayuta Shinohara enrolled in Hikomizuno Jewelry College.

During his time there in 2020, he became the first Japanese to win the gold prize at the 'WALTER LANGE WATCHMAKING EXCELLENCE AWARD 2020' for his slow moving retrograde movement and subsequently designed and handmade two oter wristwatches.

In 2021, after graduating, he joined Masa's Pastime. While working on the restoration of antique watches, he also initiated a project to create original watches.

In 2023, he unveiled 'Nayuta Model A'soon followed by 'Nayuta Model B', and continues to do so to this day."


The "Nayuta Model" is a model name derived from Shinohara's first name, representing an extremely large quantity in Buddhist terminology.

The logo of 10^60 on the dial is a representation of this in mathematical terms.
